What is an electronic cigarette?
It is an electronic smoking device (also known as an "eCigarette" or "eCig"). It is a non-combustible product that uses state-of-the-art technology to provide smokers with an authentic vaping experience – without the flame, tobacco, tar, ash or smell found in traditional cigarettes.
How do they work?
Sapphyre eCigarettes contain a small rechargeable battery (the latest in Lithium Ion technology), water, propylene glycol, vegetable glycerine, flavor and in some products, nicotine. When you inhale, it activates the atomizer, which releases a smoke-like, odorless vapor mist.
Can I use Sapphyre eCigarettes anywhere?
Yes and no. Sapphyre eCigarettes do not create combustion smoke like traditional cigarettes – the "smoke" you see is actually a vapor mist. But many municipalities are limiting the use of eCigarettes to the same places as traditional cigarettes. Be sure to check your local laws and be a considerate vaper.
Can anyone use Sapphyre eCigarettes?
No. Our product is intended for use by adults only. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use if you are pregnant, nursing or if you are sensitive to nicotine. Are Sapphyre eCigarettes safe?
Long term studies on the effects of eCigs are years off, but Sapphyre eCigs contain only water, propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, nicotine and flavors. Propylene glycol is considered generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Vegetable glycerin is a simple sugar refined from renewable sources like corn or soybeans. On the contrary, traditional cigarettes contain upwards of 2000 chemicals when incinerated. You decide.
Do Sapphyre eCigs produce smoke?
No. The "smoke" released from Sapphyre eCigarettes is a vapor that contains mostly water. It evaporates into the air within seconds.
Do Sapphyre eCigarettes have a smell?
No. The vapor has no odor (however you may sense a light essence from the flavors of the eLiquid.)
Do Sapphyre Electronic Cigarettes have a taste?
Yes... and they taste great. The taste of Sapphyre eCigarettes is formulated to resemble the taste of traditional tobacco and menthol cigarettes, but without the nasty "ashtray" after-taste. Our customers tell us time and again it's the "taste" first and foremost, that they love about Sapphyre.

Do I need a lighter for the Sapphyre eCigarette?
No, you do not need a lighter for a Sapphyre eCigarette. It is an electronic device that senses your draw and automatically turns on and off as you puff. Do not try to light it.
How do I turn on a Sapphyre eCigarette?
A Sapphyre eCigarette has no on/off switch. You simply inhale on the device to switch it on, and when you are done, it shuts off automatically. Please note: Over-puffing within a short period of time may cause the device to shut off automatically.
